I appreciate the reply. It appears that stuttering is largely just inhibition that manifests in speech. My assumption is that the inhibition manifests in a person primarily in their speech because speech is pretty much the most important part of a person relating to society around them. It’s basically the only physical action where we can show people who we are internally. If there were another action so closely related to someone’s identity, life experience, and emotional memory, I suppose there would be people with inhibition in that action too. But since not, we don’t see this occurrence, other than in areas I mentioned, such as while executing actions in sports.
