You absolutely can be a nurse if that is what you want to be. I am in my mid-fourties’ now and I still stutter, but It was severe when in high school. I bounced around in minimum wage jobs for a few years after high school until I needed an X-ray and thought it was pretty cool. Long story short, I graduated X-ray school, quickly moved to CT scan and then to radiology IT where I still work today. It was never easy and always a challenge, but I managed to do well in school and in my clinical rotation. Don’t let your stutter limit you in any way. Give nursing a try, you may love it!
