I had a pretty severe stuttering condition from the age of 3 to 14 (I still stutter sometimes, but this age range was the worst in my life) and had trouble even finishing sentences. The constant mockery and looks I got from other kids made it worse only, but the breaking point for me was when I started competing in sports and allocating my time for hobbies. I realized that it's just not worth it to let it control my life as I used to rehearse every sentence in my head 4-5 times before uttering it and it was extremely tiring. I was just done with caring so much about what others think, and believe it or not my stuttering has gotten better ever since! I still stutter frequently ( a few times throughout the day) and it happens mostly when I'm excited, nervous, etc and it honestly does not bother me anymore. You will meet friends who accept it, people who are understanding, and even a partner that finds it cute!
