I used to warehouse/ forklift work for 20 years. I started at the bottom case picking orders until I was the shift supervisor. I have a mild stutter that has periods of great success and periods where I can’t talk without stuttering. I lost my job in the spring of 2020 due to covid shutdown of bars and restaurants. Now I have another great job in the security field. I have to talk to people and have to use a phone/ walkie talkies everyday. My supervisors and coworkers all accept me because they know that I’ll be at work every day and I’ll do what’s right. It’s a good job.
