Congrats! It's a scary leap of faith, but it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I will say that, as I went to a speech therapist for the first time at 30, I wasn't expecting to be "cured." And I definitely still stutter--though people rarely notice, partly because I don't shrink back or recoil from it when I do. But a lot of the secondary anxiety and nervousness that augmented my stutter went away because of speech therapy, and I am a lot more confident in my speech than I was five years ago. And I am SO much more confident talking about my stutter and educating others about it. Best of luck! I hope it's an incredible and positive experience for you.
