Does the SpeechEasy device actually work?

Does the SpeechEasy device actually work? I'm just curious if anyone's tried that SpeechEasy device to deal with their stammering? Does it work? It doesn't look like it's a cheap solution, which is unfortunate. I'd hate to spend $2,500 to $4,500 just to see if it \*might\* work or not.
