This makes me so happy to read that the conversation went well! This can be a really difficult conversation to have, but it really shows you who the other person is! I remember having this conversation with an ex of mine, who said “it would be nice if you could speak normally”. That phrase has been engrained in my mind. BUT, when I started dating my now husband, he liked every part of me, including my stutter, especially since it shaped me into the person I am today. I still get self conscious at times (like we all do), but he always gives me the boost of confidence I need ❤️. I hope you continue to have positive experiences and find people that like you for you!
