The empathy thing is such an asset. We genuinely care when another person is dealing with any physical or emotional challenge. In some instances our disability has enabled me to be accepted by others who realize that our imperfections make us human as do theirs and nobody gets out of this life without scars. Yes, it is a challenge but so is everyone else’s life.
