I read your whole post except the spoiler text. I was not aware that this show had a stutterer. It's really unfortunate that they decided to go that direction for that character's story arc. It sounds very cliche and makes stuttering seem like a character flaw that needs corrected or something that is easily overcome, or grown out of, like a cold or flu. I am willing to give a few episodes a look for myself to see how I feel personally. Judging by what you said I doubt I'll enjoy it either, but I'm always interested in seeing how stutterers are portrayed in fiction.
