I work remotely as a software engineer, so I work from home all day by myself in my own little office in my garage. This sounds ideal for somebody who stutters. In fact, if you had told me as a teenager this was going to be my job for life, I would have been over the moon. As I was very nervous when I was younger about what my job would be because I have a stutter. However, as one of the top comments on this thread says, I actually think it's detrimental to my speech, and it would be better if I didn't work remotely but worked in an office or somewhere where I'm exposed to people all day. As I think my speech overall would be better.
