I honestly hate when people say, "If I had the option to magically get rid of my stutter, I wouldn't"

I honestly hate when people say, "If I had the option to magically get rid of my stutter, I wouldn't" "It made me who I am" This is a accurate statement, but you are also saying you wouldn't get rid of the one the many things that makes your life hard? GTFO. Meanwhile you would still be having anxiety about doing things like ordering food/ talking to random people and for the financial side, you would still have to pay for speech lessons. I don't know why but when people who stutter say this, it really pisses me off. (I'm using the problems from my life as examples btw.)
