A perspective I never saw myself as a “stutterer”, but as a person who stuttered. I never gave into it as diagnosis, label or a life sentence. I knew during the times I read alone with complete fluency that physically I could speak fluent. So what was holding me back? Sometime later there was a time I caught myself forgetting to stutter on a “feared” word while speaking with a friend, it struck me at that moment it was the mind. And the delicate unraveling began.
