I don't know if I have a "high powered" job. But I've been a computer engineer for 25 years and am close to the top of my field. I'm in meetings sometimes 5-6 hours/day, frequently with our CTO or CFO, and I stutter quite a bit. My suggestion for the job interview: I generally know if I'm feeling fluent or not. If I'm not, in a setting like a job interview, I'll disclose it right up front. Like, right away. If I'm feeling fluent, I might wait until I stutter to mention it. Honestly though mentioning it up front never hurts and is probably a great habit to get into. It *significantly* reduces the stress when you feel a block coming on. I've interviewed and/or worked at several of the top tech firms and this has always worked for me. I've definitely stuttered many times during the interview, but so long as you let them know what's happening, mature adults don't care. Editing to add -- your personality is critical here. When I tell someone I stutter in person, I smile and keep it casual. Don't play the victim, don't be down about it, it's just a matter-of-fact thing about you. Smile a lot. Laugh easily. Be someone that others want to be around, and your stutter won't matter a whit. I've interviewed hundreds of people, and the things I care about are their qualifications, and how much I'd like to work with them. Be qualified, and be someone people want to work with.
