Man, no question. In my case it's my grandad who has a severe stutter (my dad grew out of his), but we live basically on the same property and work together. It's a huge help to me to have him to talk to because he really gets it, plus seeing everything he's accomplished in his life is encouraging to me. He takes me to speech therapy and it definitely makes it easier to have someone who understands and has gone through all the same things.
