For me, my school has a speech therapist. I was able to work out an IEP for me that would allow me to not do presentations in front of the class, but I could do presentations privately to the teacher. But two days ago, I had a group presentation with random classmates I don’t talk to. Had to present my slide, I stuttered a bit. One group was giggling, but I expected it. For class discussions, almost all my teachers know I have a speech impediment. So they usually choose not to call on me, or they call on me to answer a question that isn’t verbally challenging to say. So far my high school experience hasn’t been that bad, still was able to make new friends despite my speech impediment. Looking forward to my next year.
