I still stutter. But I took a radical approach to deal with it. I put myself in speaking situations ALL the time. I volunteered to read a sermon at church. (Terrifying) Joined 2 toastmaster clubs. Got a job teaching English in a foreign country (Thailand) so I’d be forced to speak. Did that for 8 years. Taught small rooms taught large auditoriums. My speech therapist was Tim Mackesey out of Dunwoody, GA. He is also a PWS. I was 26 when I tried his CBT approach. I’m 43 now. Like I said, you never really get rid of it. But it can get easier through brute force. Read The Stuttering Paradigm book. Sums up stuttering quite nicely.
