If he doesn't care then let it be. I grew up with kids who had stutters worse than mine, but they were confident and didn't let it slow them down at all. My dad is also like that. I would embrace his confidence and try to just help him at home. I hated it growing up but my mom would say shit like "slow stretchy speech" whenever I struggled at home. Do you know any techniques they taught him?
