I feel that. While you are now in your 20s, your fathers impact in how you perceive the world is over. He had his chance and he clearly failed, however that is not the end story. You now have the opportunity to rebuild yourself into the confident person you want to be. Acknowledge that he failed and that it is okay, it doesn’t have to be a factor in defining who you are moving forward or who you want to be.
