I don't see how either of those things add up to that. I don't know what your interests are, but find a group near you and join in. Perhaps take up something else. Personally, I play boardgames. They're reasonably social and it's a perfect environment to interact and talk with others. Online is also great, dating included. You can text to people to get to know each other first before you proceed to voice chatting, if you even want to do that. The only sure way for life to be over for you is to end it yourself. Because it's just not true.
