I read he also had a cold- so that explains him clearing his throat. I wonder if that made him nervous as he did it several times before speaking. Nerves always make me stutter more. I explained the stuttering signs to my family (they never recognized that I stuttered even though complete strangers knew and made fun of me) but I don't think they believed me.
