I am glad that you can say that you have made peace with stuttering. I don't know your story and don't pretend to sound like I do. But I would like to encourage you to look deeply and ask yourself if stuttering is what "really" took away that woman, that job or those friends. I don't know if this is going to come across as too "neo hippie", but in Buddhism there is this concept that "nothing that can be taken away from you belongs to you". Taking that thought has turned my life 180 degrees (far more than any language therapy). Wish you all the best and I hope you find your true path with a woman, friends and an entire working environment where people can actually focus on what you have to say instead of how you say it and appreciate you for who you really are, because there are SO MANY people who can - even if some assholes are trying to convince us of the opposite.
