I've seriously considered going by either my middle name, surname, or a nickname. However none of those still feels like 'me' whilst also being appreciably easier to say, so I've stuck with my first name. Where possible I like people to introduce me, rather than me having to introduce myself. My stutter is definitely 10x worse with my name, I often exchange a few sentences with people mostly normally before we get to names, then I can really see the "oh shit, what the fuck" expression in their eyes as I really struggle.
