I’ve read some interesting studies suggesting physiological causes like decreased blood flow to the wernicke’s area of the brain (part of the brain most responsible for controlling speech) and/or having the neurons in this area jumbled up instead of being lined up like they should - the neurons should be oriented the same like the molecules in a magnet (all facing the same direction) but ours might be all facing different directions, impeding the flow of electrical/neurological signals
