My take on this 👇 This was amazingly said. Martina spoke nothing but the truth here. Having something as painful and apparent as a stutter can be.. This really gives us really no choice but to work on ourselves. I mean you can choose to not work on yourself but that would mean you would be living in constant fear and anxiety for the rest of your life. Stuttering is something that gets more severe and more painful when we are living out of alignment with our true selves 👉When we are giving others opinions of us too much value 👉When we are proving ourselves 👉When we are trying to be perfect 👉When we are trying to please others 👉When we are seeking some sort of validation/approval This is when we stutter the most and it hurts the most. Why? Because even if we achieve the desired outcome “not stuttering” or “being perceived as cool and valuable”, we do it in a way that disables us to feel any real fulfillment. Only our front got validated. Not the true authentic us. Addressing the stuttering journey with a holistic, authentic way of being has so many benefits for your overall growth and well being. We have been given a rare opportunity that most people don't have. A lot of people have anxiety, but their anxiety doesn't get expressed in a way that is so apparent like a stutter so they bottle it up and live with it. That's not us. Let's take advantage of this and become the absolute best version of ourselves while loving our indicator (aka stuttering) along the way.
