If your secondary behaviors (hard silent blocks, odd body movements, avoiding entire speaking situations) are debilitating, you will need to “fix” that. Unless you have thorough training, you will frame those secondary behaviors as *part of your stutter*. While I agree that the way forward is to work to let others hear your repetitions, the above simplistic framing can be very invalidating and confusing for many. Also, if you are not a religious person, this framing isn’t going to feel useful.
