coworker has unbearable stutter i empathize with people who have mental or neurological disorders that are not completely in their control. however, one of my coworkers has an unbearable stutter. they also repeat the same words / questions and want to have meetings constantly. whenever we have meetings or phone calls, they drag out for far too long. a 5 minute call always turns into 30 minutes or more. they will initially tell me they just have a couple of quick questions, but then continue on with more and more questions until i find some reason to end the call. i am finding it extremely frustrating to interact with them. their stutter and other social issues are annoying and a waste a of time. it is at the point where i want to minimize communication with them as much as possible. they also interrupt me constantly and can talk for prolonged periods of time without me even saying anything back. i can just not speak a word for 10 minutes straight and it doesn't even matter. is this normal in regards to people with stuttering issues? like, do they always have other extremely anti-social behaviors as well? i want to grab them by the head and scream into their ears to stop stuttering. i won't do it, but thats how i feel about the situation. it has now reached the point where i will make up excuses just to get out of every call with them e.g. i have to go to the bathroom, i have another call coming in, etc. can't this guy just take some benzos or something? how do i navigate this situation without losing my cool and hurting their feelings?
