It has always been the other way for me. I almost never stutter when talking out loud to myself. But I always read silently. To me that seems to be more effective than reading aloud. What problem do you face when read silently? Anyways if you absolutely have to read aloud, then breathe properly, don't rush through, read slowly and try to develop a rhythm.
