Hahahah a neurologist is gonna be the best compliment i ever receive!! Nah i just got interested in why it happens, have had a stutter my whole life and attended many many speech therapists before that explain it to me this way... Smooth Speech techniques include sliding in (elongating the first word of sentences), soft contacts (using soft connections between words), stretching vowels/slowing speech down, linking words in sentences and positive self talk - these can help reset bad stuttering attacks when they happen But in honesty, stuttering is always treated as something that can be "fixed" when it doesn't work that way and these techniques can be revised but don't have unrealistic expectations for them!
