What should I do? Hi everyone, I got something I want to take your opinion on I'm a freshman in college. In one of my courses we have to work in groups of 5 for the assignment but the 5 have to be attending the same section. I don't go the college often and didn't go to that section before because it was the one I'm choosing. Anyways so I tried to get in a group through the Whatsapp group of that section (as so many did) but I didn't like to write in the group hey I'm looking for a group and this stuff I felt I will be embarrassed and like I'm begging them (I know my argument may be stupid) so instead when someone said they are not in a group I messaged them privately. I tried this way four times but for some reason it didn't go very well. So now I got two options * Just forget about it and don't do anything. I want to do that knowing that the assignment has grade but it is not too much so it won't affect my grades . However I have to attend the section because of the attendance and maybe I will have to face the TA and explain why I didn't do the assignment and didn't find a team (I strongly assume he will not be very friendly) and ofc I don't want to stutter in front of my whole section. Another problem is if even I didn't attend this section at all I think the professor will assign several team assignments later and the problem will remain the same * Send a message in the group chat that I need a team and just be sitting there hoping that someone will be kind enough to let me join their team (the deadline is after a few days so the chances are low I guess) There is no one I can seek to him for help no assistance no leader just me, the section and the TA who will not be helpful at all
