I feel the same way. Our brain seems to subconsciously exert more effort to avoid stuttering when we’re talking to strangers who might judge us, compared to when we’re with friends and family where we feel "safe"; our brain relaxes, lifts its guard and we stutter more. I'm no proffesional, but this makes sense to my nog atleast
