It's true that I have the impression that this sub has gone a bit off the rails. Whereas before there were studies on why stuttering occurs, whether someone had experienced similar things or not, negative AND positive experiences, etc., I'm seeing a lot of posts lately about "stuttering is destroying my life and there's nothing I can do." I was lucky enough to have a speech therapist who helped me go from a very severe stutter in my early teens to a still present but manageable stutter, so what I'm experiencing now is nothing like the experiences of those who have a severe stutter with strong social anxiety, but I find that even this kind of post is quite sterile in reality, or that it just reinforces the negativity within this sub, it's a bit a shame ngl.
