I usually give a heads up about my stutter in the first minute of job interviews to avoid lots of awkward looks when I get stuck on words. Had a mix of reactions—some interviewers looked very bored and almost annoyed and I get the "thanks but no thanks" message the same day. But then, there are those who are empathetic and tell me to relax, and I've actually landed a few offers. Now I'm working as an analyst in venture capital. Bottom line, don't let a stutter block your shot. Sure, things can go very badly, but you could also score your dream job. Just shoot your shot!
