Does this happen to anyone else? Ok, so I have stuttered for as long as I can remember. Even though I do still stutter, 1) it's not nearly as bad as it was when I was a kid, and 2) I've conditioned myself to not let it or anyone's reaction to it really bother me that much. Hell, I even have a pretty good sense of humor about it nowadays. However there is one admittedly small thing that happens sometimes that really just gets under my skin, and I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone else here. Ok, so sometimes I'll be walking in and out of a store and someone holds the door open for me. Then I try to say thank you only to get stuck immediately. Before I can get any sound out at all, they've already started walking away, and half the time they give me this look like, "yeah, you're welcome, asshole." Every time that happens I just want to yell at them, "bitch I'm trying!" So, yeah, that's pretty annoying. That happen to any of you guys? Or something similar?
