How are my claims false? The medical community is bewildered by stuttering, much less pharmaceuticals that could do anything to any “symptom” or “cause” of stuttering. Most SLPs know nothing about stuttering and many actually make the symptoms worse. As of today, any drug you take to “help” stuttering may actually work short term because it immediately alters the conscious state. Long term? No. Like I said, the stuttering habit will find it’s way around the drug once one gains a tolerance. Now, do many stutterers also come with other issues? Yes, anxiety is a common one. Are there meds to treat* that? Yes. *treat, not cure
