I went to speech therapy for a few months last year, and the therapist was nice and everything, but I rarely ever stuttered when talking to her for some reason. I stutter a lot in my everyday interactions, but miraculously, not very often in her office. It seemed silly to try and practice fluency techniques when I wasn't stuttering. I left after a few months because it didn't feel effective. I've talked to a couple other people who stutter who have had similar experiences -- they somehow stutter less in speech therapy.
