The beauty of art is that it touches people in different ways. I related with the movie immensely. It’s one of the few movies that has actually brought me to tears. I didn’t think the main character was portrayed negatively. He worked his ass off to prepare to give a speech to an entire nation that was of the utmost importance. Like the other person said that replied to your post, he wasn’t cured nor did he deliver his speech flawlessly. He worked hard, faced his fears, and did it. Which is exactly what I’ve had to do and the only way I’ve found success. People on here are looking for drugs, vitamin B1, apps, and other tricks to help their stuttering . I have tried them all and the only success I’ve had has been through hard work and courage. That’s why I was touched by the movie. You mentioned that you watched it “when you were little” which leads me to believe you’re pretty young. I encourage you to watch it again now that you’re older and maybe even at a later point in your life. You might feel different about it.
