Mid-sentence blocking funny moment changed my viewpoint
Content
Mid-sentence blocking funny moment changed my viewpoint I have a neurogenic stutter and often do "teacup talk" where I block in the middle of a sentence. I can speak a few words before a block occurs and then continue until the next block, stopping and starting, like pouring words into a teacup, emptying it out, refilling with the next batch of words, and, so on. The best thing I ever heard about my stutter--and it really did change the way I felt about it--was when a friend said, "I love listening to you talk. Everything sounds so dramatic."
