Yes to your subject line question. Stuttering is debilitating and shaped me as a person to my very core. Everything I am, will be, or was....was due to stuttering. It can be an awful feeling. It is not life ending however. A stutterer is just who you are. Everyone has a cross to bear. Ours is stuttering. Do not fight it. Embrace it. You are fit and healthy in every other way. You found your way online asking for assistance and advice. You can obviously reason, have clarity of thought and effectively communicate. You have purpose. You will find that like most in life, you are your own worst critic. How many people complain about how they are overweight? How many people do you know that have addictions? I am sure you have someone in your life who cries the blues about how they can't find a good man or woman to marry. Everyone has something to bitch about. You (and me) have stuttering. Talking out loud may not be a strong suit for any stutterer. It is not however a life-ending proposition.
