Pretty much. The problem we have is our immediate reaction is to force out our words and increase tension when we’re speaking, but in reality we need to do the exact opposite. Non-stutterers tell us to calm down when we speak, and I guess that’s true in a way, but they just don’t understand the difficulty of calming down.
