probably around the age of 4 or so when i would be scolded and punished for stammering in front of other people. However the main memory that stands out to me is starting school and stammering during a class presentations and getting laughed at when I was 7. This is when it went from being told that it was embarrassing to actually being embarrassed - if that makes sense?
