When i couldnt say my name, i said may catchphrase "i am a stutterer and i cant say may name, but if u want i can spell it". Was kind of hard to bring up the courage at first, but i got used to it. And it has the Advantage that people know why u "speak weirdly" (in their eyes maybe if they dont know stuttering). Reaction ranged from good and understanding to a bit awkward looking down but it was quite fine
