Do females recover from stuttering more often than males? I don't think that's a known fact in the stuttering community. What we do know is stuttering is more prevalent in males than females. It's about 4 to 1. Which I think stems from the fundamental brain differences between males and females. Hormonal and structural differences. Females are naturally verbally gifted and can pick up second languages a lot more easier than males. This is also a know fact. This could play a role in why there are less females who stutter and prehaps why they may also be more likey to recover from stuttering. I don't think it has any correlation with ADHD. Because ADHD is so prevelant in today's society to the point you could say its being over diagnosed. While stutterers only make up 1% of any country's population.
