I don’t know if it’s an actual mimic. That was just the only word I could think of. It happens anytime I hear another stutter. I end up stuttering in the same pattern as the person doing it. I refuse to watch “It” again because i couldn’t speak clearly for a week after I watched it the first time. Same thing happens when I hear my coworker speak. Since he has a more moderate stutter that isn’t as severe, it doesn’t affect mine as badly but it still gets hard to speak. I tend to block a lot more often around him and my cousin as well as stammer
