This happened to me!! In high school, I was seated next to a kid with a severe stutter while mine is more moderate. We had to do the usual "go around the room and introduce yourselves" and he went before me. When I went and stuttered too, everyone thought I was being an asshole!! I had to stutter my way through explaining that I really did have a stutter, it was so embarrassing!
