Acceptance is key to finding peace and comfort. Otherwise you will stress about it which brings on anxiety and thus, more stuttering. The degree of "acceptance" varies to person to person. I know I haven't truly accepted my stuttering (I am working on it), but I came to terms that it will be a part of me for the rest of my life. I am currently working on being accepting of other people seeing me stutter because I have secondary characteristics during blocks (jaw clenching, eyes closing, facial grimaces, etc) I came to terms with my stuttering because I realized that I have achieved what I wanted to achieve in my life in terms of school, job, and social life. Find what is positive in your life and build off of that. We all have something to be grateful for.
