Hi there. First of all, congrats on being brave enough to ask for help. I stuttered a lot as a kid and it improved as I got older with speech therapy. Can you go to a speech therapist? That would help tremendously. A few things that helped me: 1. Don’t tie your self esteem to your speech. You are much. You have so much to offer, don’t let that bring you down. The more you stress over it, the worse it will likely be. 2. Speak slowly and a bit louder than your used to. 3. Focus on building your confidence in other ways outside of speech, i.e working out 4. Read out loud in the mirror, facing yourself. Then progress to one person in the room, and so on. 5. Read out loud more often to yourself. 6. Talk to more strangers and ask them random questions, like, where’s the nearest subway? Which way is the stadium? Or just say hello to people more often. Don’t let yourself get scared of speaking. You have a stutter, but that is not who you are. You are so much more. Focus on what you have to offer. Don’t let fear get in the way. 7. Be patient :)
