Not a competition here. Also you have no idea how bad it is, neither do i about yours. But about the 2nd question, i would if i could. It takes soo much time to even get a word out just to be stuck on the next. Sometimes one word can take upto a minute and everyone either leaves or tries to get out of the conversation as soon as possible. Writing everything is definitely not easy and feels v weird but atleast you're not in constant shame making weird faces failing to get a single syllable out. So yeah I'd rather write than face this embarrassment in every single conversation. If my stutter was mild, i probably would've chosen speaking over writing.
