Yes, I agree. Effective communication becomes increasingly important as you ascend the career ladder. You are expected to conduct meetings, communicate with shareholders, and network with other high-level professionals. For someone who stutters, these tasks can be more challenging. While I'm not suggesting it's impossible to succeed, it can make being taken seriously more difficult. It's entirely feasible to excel in our current roles and "master" them, which can lead to a somewhat easier work life. However, it's important to acknowledge that there will likely be significant difficulties.
