What do you think about "reading" the stutter in books? Hey everyone, I hope this is ok to post here! A little bit of context first: I currently work in a daycare with kids aged four to six years old. The reason I came to this subreddit is because one of our kids that stutters. Now my question is, do you think it's ok to read the stutter in a book out loud? Oftentimes I feel like the stuttering is used as a comedic effect when the character is scared of something. We're working very hard on the other kids not making fun of the kid that stutters, so would this be a "step back"?
