Stutter Changed at 14 Hi everyone, I’ve stuttered since I was 3 years old. For most of my childhood it was mainly repetitions. But around age 14, my stutter shifted — I began to experience blocks and more difficult sounds, along with some repetitions. This change happened around the same time COVID started (I caught it a few times and got vaccinated twice), and I also began masturbating during that period. I’m wondering: could these things have influenced my stutter changing from repetitions to blocks, or is it just part of how stuttering naturally develops? Also, I live in a family, community, and culture where masturbation is considered unusual, wrong, or even a sin — so that makes me think about it even more.
